Forget the Kibble - Abby Wants Something "Exotic"

Apparently I'm going to have to baby gate the kitchen when Abby is home alone or buy a different latch. Someone has learned how to snoot open a small portable storage cabinet.  There's nothing harmful for pets in there there, mostly some empty jars for canning and a few packs of protein powder I'll throw in my lunch that were behind the jars.  Apparently  someone was drawn to the fruity smell of this single serving packet of soy protein powder. I got home yesterday and jars were on the floor and I had a surprise in the dining room.

I don't think she ate much, if any of it, as it appeared to be spread all over the floor. Not the 50 square miles of hardwood, but on the only expensive area rug in the house.
I will attempt to look momentarily guilty.

    1. Fortunately, this was yesterday and today there appeared to be no stomach upset from what bits of packaging she might have swallowed. Barkley - if left alone would have not only snooted the cabinets open for pilfering but would have ordered a large pizza with my credit card. Abby's much more behaved . . . usually. :-)

  2. OMD...I hope none of our pups is ever that smart!

  3. OMD, way to go gurl!!! Oh...Ma said that wasn't appropriate to encourage such behavior....yeah..right. I would NEVER do such a snagging the bag of PB cookies from the counter and eating three of them....NEVER! Hey Abby, you gots to teach me this snooter could really come in handy...

....Uh oh Abby - pawhaps explanations of making preps for Thanksgiving and trying to save LBJ some time in the kitchen would be worth a try?... no. Maybe not... Blessings upon your home for the holiday though! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  5. Happy THanksgiving! Hope you have a wonderful day!

  6. Oh dear Abby. You better be good or Santa Paws will put you on the naughty list. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

  7. We put a baby-proof latch on the cabinet door behind which is the garbage can. The doggies haven't figured it out yet!
