Ramble was a unique rescue (in 2016, when he was about 18 months old) who had no hair, although he proudly grew a little fuzz around his head and ears in later years. Though he had to wear a coat when it got cold, it didn't slow him down, and he would greet his beloved Diane, the mail lady, at the fence of their rural property every day.
Sadly, Ramble has crossed the Bridge to join his beloved big brother, Monty. They will both be missed.
A tool
in your hand I am, dear God,
the sweetest instrument you have shaped my being into.
What makes me now complete
feeling the soul of every creature adjacent
my heart.
Does every creature have a
soul?
Surely they do; for anything God has touched
will have life
forever,
and all creatures He
has held.
--St. Francis Assisi
I'm very sorry to hear about sweet Ramble and we all send lots of hugs to his loving Mom.
ReplyDeleteThank you. He will be missed.
DeleteI remember following "How Sam Sees It". Seems like another lifetime ago. Please extend my condolences to Christine on the loss of Ramble.
ReplyDeleteI will let her know. Princess Harlow is still with her, though, being in the house with Monty (who went to the Bridge in late 2021), when Ramble was adopted, she's in her "golden" years. But Christine and her husband have added Ed and Jane, two puppies that are now 1 and 2 years old (roughly). I know they'll help comfort her.
DeleteFor some years I followed "How Sam Sees It" and remember Ramble well and am sorry to hear that he's gone to the Rainbow Bridge. I very much enjoyed reading the antics of her pets, but somehow lost contact - I think she stopped blogging. Please pass on my condolences to her, it's so distressing to lose a beloved pet.
ReplyDeleteShe hasn't blogged in a few years. I keep in touch through FB posts and messaging. Her musings of life on the farm with the dogs always brings joy to my day.
