A Guest Post from Abby Lab AND Dad

Mom's got a  Ewe-Tea-Eye infection and isn't feeling very good.  So tonight I, Abby T. Lab and Dad are doing the post.

We agree, Mom steals the covers!

Ouch... make sure mum drinks lots of water to flush that infection! My parents worked a way round the scenario given here; they each had single doonas on the double bed! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  8. Oh, sorry to hear mom's not doing well. It's the opposite around here - mom is always hot. But then, so are we. Hmm.

  10. Oh no! Tell her to drink lots of water and take 1000mg of vitamin C a day and make sure she takes her antibiotic for the full ten days. That's an order from ghostwriter RN.

  11. Recipe for your Mumma, Abby:

Heaping teaspoon (not a measuring teaspoon, but a real tea teaspoon) of Cream of Tartar mixed in a small glass of water. Shotgun it, yes it is gross. Then drink a couple of huge glasses of water. You will get some relief within 1/2 hour. Do this twice a day for a couple of days.

Folks take antibiotics, I never did. I just used that trick taught to me by my Mum, taught to her by one of her aunts (back in the late 20's early 30's in another Century). So, if you get in an 'emergency' situation, where you can't get your drugs of choice, try the CofT and see if I'm not right.

Sorry about the UTI, I didn't get them often, but every now and then, particularly when under stress or when I got dehydrated... Yuck.

Hope you feel better, and Pats for the Lovely Abby!

    Fair Winds and Following Seas,

    Cap'n Jan
