Monday Man-Chow with Abby Lab

Hi - Abby the Lab here. Mom is traveling to some squirrel meeting in another State and will be gone all week, so she has charged me with putting posts up until she gets back, including some diet blog posts she wrote when she took a break from blogging during the move (but not eating or recipes).

So I'm going to open this week with FOODABLES!

There was one day that Dad came home later than expected and Mom had already eaten some leftovers. So what could she make him that would be fresh and hot after a long day?

Beefins.

Make a batch of biscuits (or use ready made dough from a can or thawed) and place in a greased muffin cup, forming a "cup" of dough up the sides.

Fill with a spoonful of leftover meat (or veggie "meat" crumbles) with pasta sauce (no garlic so I could have a bite) Top with cheddar and bake as directed for regular biscuits.

These are even better than Pizza Bones!

OMD OMD OMD ABBY.... your Beefins look So Delightful and DELICIOUS.... We think they would be Easy fur our mom to make, too... BUTT you are RIGHT ... THAT was NOT a Beefin that your dad was handing out... THAT was a Milkbone... we recognize it... They are Delicious too... esp. the home grown kind... Just sayin sweetie.

Now... Yesterday... Ernie took OUR orange Dachshund Witchy toy... with him... when we took a ride in Jessie Jeep... then.... LAST NIGHT... guess what he did to it???? He chewed up and tore OFF her witchy Hat... I am VERY MUCH ANGRY with him fur doing that.. Just sayin.

I did share with Dad and we heard from Mom and her flight landed safely and she is at her hotel. Her little ebook computer isn't working so she won't be visiting blogs much till the weekend but I have posts to come up EACH day until she returns

OMD, that looks sooooooooooooo good!!!!! Ma's tummy is growlin' as we speak...it isn't a pleasant sound, let me tell ya! BOL

About Barkley and His Mom

My Mom started this blog due to requests from friends who wanted a place to go for stories of her furry friend Barkley that weren't in the book and stories of my rescue and new life in my furever home. She donates all of the proceeds from her writing to animal rescue and groups that train search and rescue and service dogs but that's OK, as she still gives me lots of dog treats and toys.

The Book of Barkley is Mom's first memoir. She used to be a jet pilot for somebody's Uncle but now has a Ph.D. in something involving science and forensics which is like TV but without expensive suits or cleavage. Additional mayhem is provided by my Dad and our 100-year-old "fixer upper" Mission Bungalow.

Her second memoir "Saving Grace - A Story of Adoption" was published in April of 2015". Her Third Book - "Small Town Roads", her first Fiction Novel was published October of 2016 and was an NPR selected "2017 must read" and 2017 Readers Favorite International Book Award GOLD for "Fiction - Religious Theme". Her 4th book, "Calexit, The Anthology", a Novella with other authors, was published in October of 2017 and was on the Amazon Best Seller's list two days later. Her fifth book "True Course - Lessons from Life Aloft" was a #1 best seller at Amazon 24 hours after publishing so I think she has been bribing you all with treats.
