Tuesday Eats - Ball Peen Hammer Cooking Tips

It just going to be one of those weeks.

Key issues with the blogging computer, a lot of squirrels on leave or out with a Spring "bug" that's going around. Plus, by the end of the day, I was seriously coming down with it as well and was running a fever when I got home. At least the day started better. For when everyone is a little down, bring in some goodies for the skeleton crew that is working.

Scooby Snacks.

Butterfinger cake.

Bake your favorite devils food cake recipe or mix that will fix a 13 x 9 pan. Poke holes in the top a couple inches apart with the end of a wooden spoon when still warm and pour a small jar of Smuckers butterscotch ice cream topping (thinned with 1 and 1/2 Tablespoons of cream so it's more pourable) over the top, spreading with a spatula so it fills up the holes. Whip up a pint of real whipped cream with a small box of sugar-free instant French vanilla pudding and 3 to 4 Tablespoons of milk to get the thickness you want and top with 3 regular sized butterfingers which you've whacked in their wrapper with a ball peen hammer, the remains scattered over the frosting.

It didn't last long.

I think everyone was feeling better afterwards.

Perhaps everyone was in a sugar coma afterward, LOL! At least it was with a smile on their faces!

Those loose letters can be a real problem, and when it is an important letter like the "e", we can see where it may have been very frustrating.

As for that butterfinger cake, the grands would die for that - Mom may just have to treat them. Thanks for the recipe.

hugs and potp to you... the butterfinger is the pawfect soulfood I bet... btw: I once removed all keys to clean them in the dishwasher ... without taking a photo of the keyboard in advance...it ended like the magic cube of mr. rubik... incomplete. bought a new one after in black so I can no longer see da dirt ;O)

About Barkley and His Mom

My Mom started this blog due to requests from friends who wanted a place to go for stories of her furry friend Barkley that weren't in the book and stories of my rescue and new life in my furever home. She donates all of the proceeds from her writing to animal rescue and groups that train search and rescue and service dogs but that's OK, as she still gives me lots of dog treats and toys.

The Book of Barkley is Mom's first memoir. She used to be a jet pilot for somebody's Uncle but now has a Ph.D. in something involving science and forensics which is like TV but without expensive suits or cleavage. Additional mayhem is provided by my Dad and our 100-year-old "fixer upper" Mission Bungalow.

Her second memoir "Saving Grace - A Story of Adoption" was published in April of 2015". Her Third Book - "Small Town Roads", her first Fiction Novel was published October of 2016 and was an NPR selected "2017 must read" and 2017 Readers Favorite International Book Award GOLD for "Fiction - Religious Theme". Her 4th book, "Calexit, The Anthology", a Novella with other authors, was published in October of 2017 and was on the Amazon Best Seller's list two days later. Her fifth book "True Course - Lessons from Life Aloft" was a #1 best seller at Amazon 24 hours after publishing so I think she has been bribing you all with treats.
