Rock Solid Friendships

When I was a child, my Mom and I collected rocks and various agates, often attending gemstone shows together.

I still have a collection of stones, some vibrant with color, some stunningly plain but with wonderful memories behind them on a shelf in my bedroom.

So I was delighted when

Mom Samantha sent me these rocks as a gift that she hand painted with the Jetson family (I LOVED that show as a kid) when I admired them on her Facebook page.

Thank you~ That just made my whole week!  It's just another example of the wonderful friendships we've all developed here in Blogville.

  1. Those are cool. I can still sing the whole theme song and I haven't seen the show in 20 years

  4. Those are so nice! Popular here in Winnipeg right now is hiding painted rocks around the city. People either find and leave them, take and re-hide them or replace them with other painted rocks. There is an active facebook page for this activity which is called Winnipeg Rocks that shows what people have created/found/hidden etc.

    1. Mom loved the Flintstones too. I think she was taking Flintstone Vitamins until she was 55 years old. They didn't make a "Senior" version so she had to switch to get more Vitamin D (she's part vampire and always blood tests super low for that). - Abby Lab

    1. Cool! The young voice actor that did the voice of Astro was also the voice of Boo Boo Bear, Ranger Smith, Mutley, Scooby Do, Papa Smurf and Johnny Quest's Dad Dr. Benton Quest among another 3 or so dozen cartoon characters on shows after I quit watching cartoons.
