A counter surfed slice of ham added to the "look, rabbit poop" ended up in a singular pile of dog barf and a case of Dogrrhea. Five times today Abby Lab went out and sprayed the yard with the enthusiasm of a Jato Bottle while our retired Navy Vet neighbor, whittling in his driveway in the cool temps, tried not to laugh.
He's lucky I didn't charge him a cover charge.
She did drink plenty of water and other than the "thar she blows!" seems to be OK.
After boiled chicken and rice, Abbey is feeling MUCH better tonight.
Poor Abby - hope you at least enjoyed that ham and that tomorrow is a better day for all. Mom wishes she had seen Timber snarf something from the counter, sure would make a diagnosis a lot easier:(
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
“...enthusiasm of a JATO bottle...” oh, that mental picture gave me the giggles.
ReplyDeleteWe are glad Abby is feeling much better. Our cat does that sometimes. mags and gus
ReplyDeleteOoh, that seems to be going around! Bullet had it bad, Indy not so bad. Bullet had to go to the vet after three days non stop. They're both better now though.
ReplyDeletePoor Abby! Mom is thankful neither of us are counter surfers. Now bunny poop ... that's another matter altogether!!!
ReplyDeleteYours sincerely,

I am glad she is feeling much better. My girls are good about not getting into things.

ReplyDeleteOhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Abby yikes good to know about the wabbit poop not mixing with ham. I really do dream about a grand game chase with the little cotton tails I see out my window BUT I'll let that dream go holding tightly to my H A M dream.

Ham, a foil to a dog's system. Jeff still reminds me of the time we took Lexi-Toto to the pre-Wizard of Oz bash at the Theatre Centre. She was hob-knobbing with everybody and they were, of course feeding her. I stood up on an ottoman and announced, "Everybody! Do NOT feed ham to the schnauzer!"
