Given How the Airline Experience has Changed Since I was a Pilot

I am NOT a fan of being a passenger.

  1. BOL - Mom wishes she could use all of us as her emotional support dogs so we wouldn't have to go to the kennel when she goes on a trip. We are all most amenable to that plan.

    1. Abby would be a pretty good service or emotional support dog. Barkley would have been shredding a first class seat cushion then humping the flight attendants serving cart.

    Back seat pilot then? ;*>!

On a serious note... It was the subject of a recent debate over here as it is not recognised. I appreciate this cartoon - because the discussion on that program was about someone wanting to take their pet snake aboard a plane here and claiming it as a support animal. Confession time - I'd never heard of such a thing before that radio article two months back! YAM xx

    1. The airlines are making the terms of having an animal on board more restrictive. There have been some very serious injuries caused by dog bites from dogs that had no training to be "service" dogs, but were termed "emotional support".

  3. Cute cartoon. But yeah, I'd rather have my pups accompany me on flights.

  4. I don't even like going for a ride in the car. I think I'd be terrified to go on a jet! However, my NC associate Angus B. Terrier went on a plane ride all the way from London to be with his family. He was in a crate on a special flight for pets, though. My ghostwriter said the last time she flew on a jet, a lady had a little doggie with her who stayed in a pet carrier which she kept on her lap, or under her seat during take-off and landing. That doggie behaved better than some of the kids she's seen on flights! She was also surprised to see special doggie pee areas in airports complete with a fire hydrant and astro turf!!!

  5. I wish it would be possible to fly together... as passengers not as luggage in the cargo area...
