Abby Lab Reporting LIVE. . .

From the Closet

This is the 4th band of severe weather that's rolled through Chicagoland tonight. Mom was watching it  getting close and took an hour of leave to come home early and get me fed and walked before the thunderboomers started.  Then Dad took me out between cells for one last pee-mail call.

We'll see you tomorrow if a big tornado doesn't pick up our house and drop it in Oz.

Seriously Toto - we de-stuffie the scarecrow.  I'm game!

  1. Stay safe, Abby and family. We have been fortunate to miss the worst of the storms but have had many storms this week. We are ready for winter!!! Hope you don't have any tornadoes.

    Woos - Lightning and Ciara

  2. Thanks Lightning and Ciara. Abby has reluctantly left the closet but it appears it has passed. There was so much rain my husband turned off a check valve we added that keeps the sewers from flowing BACK into the house and flooding the basement. We can't flush when it's closed but it kept us from one or more flood. 100 year old neighborhood, the sewer set up is less than ideal.

    Sleep well.

  3. stay safe!

  4. Hari OM
OMDness Abby and furmily - I hope you are still dry and in the place you went to sleep in... I'm not the fondest of boomeries either - and we got lots in OZ - so not the best place to go if you wish to avoid 'em...wicked witch of the South in cahoots with Thor!!! Here in the Bonny Land though? The thunder here - if it ever comes - is more like a fish growling... Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  5. Yikes! We're glad you made it through okay.

  6. Glad you survived the stormy weather Abby. Indy agrees with you that thunder is scary.

  7. ABBY... OMD ABBY I hope that YOU ARE SAFE and don't end up in OZ. Staying in the Closet sounds like a GOOD idea to ME... I HATE storms... they scare the... POOPS outta me, actually.
HOPE to hear from you tomorrow. So I know you are safe.
    Love, Frankie

  8. Glad you are OK. We have Malamute friends that live right outside of Chicago and were following their weather with them. It looked bad!
We had terrible tornadoes here last night and are currently under another tornado watch. Kansas is one crazy place sometimes!

  9. I cross my paws that the thunderstorm will cause no harm or damage in your area. And I place some solar light on my meadow, so you have a landing strip in case of a flying crib...
