Dress Up for Whitley

Since today is Dress up for Whitley to honor our dear friend who went to the Bridge, I will do my part.

But Mom is NOT Miss Fashion (I'd say her closet is Miss Stake) and most of her clothes look like something Sgt. Joe Friday would wear.

She's got NUTTIN fashionable in that closet, I swear. Barkley's old leash is probably the newest thing in here.

I'll show you. See? (I used the Auto-Cat programming to draw this).

So all I got is is a lousy ballcap that one of her friends left here. Mom says that stands for "Frequently Barks Inside".

As if I do that. . . .harumphhh

This is the best you can do Mom? You don't even own a single pair of high heals I can chew up!

OMD OMD OMD We SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooo remember the CLOSET... with the Ghillie Suit... WE are STILL cracked up over that entire graphic... BaaaaaaWaaaah..
BUTT we Digress... We think that the Frequently Barks Inside cap is gonna be Just Fine with Whitley.... she had a grrrrreat sense of HUMOR and STYLE...

Um, your MOms closet, and my Moms closet sounds identical!!!! (wells, except for the things that go bang...those are in Gpas closet BOL!) Oh, and if you count the baggie sweats and the blue jeans and the hiking boots and tenny runners and well, you gets the point! Ma does have a pair of High Heels! Yuppers! butts, she hasn't worn them in years...I thinks she would break her ankle if she tried now...

You got off lightly there pal. The hat looks great. And is at least gender appropriate.
My Gail is also most emphatically NOT INTO FASHON, but you should she what she found in a trip to the children's clothes section of Asda (the UK Walmart).

Ghostwriter has a rather limited wardrobe too: nursing uniforms, jeans, worn out tops, pajamas, nice clothes that she bought for some special occasion or other that are now out of fashion or don't fit. We doggies don't care what she wears, as long as it has pockets with yum yum treats in them.

I'm glad you liked the hat. Mom's got a few of those three letter hats and coats and stuff laying around here. Everyone looked SO good in their outfits (and we're still laughing at the purple pimp outfit over at Dory's Backyard.)

About Barkley and His Mom

My Mom started this blog due to requests from friends who wanted a place to go for stories of her furry friend Barkley that weren't in the book and stories of my rescue and new life in my furever home. She donates all of the proceeds from her writing to animal rescue and groups that train search and rescue and service dogs but that's OK, as she still gives me lots of dog treats and toys.

The Book of Barkley is Mom's first memoir. She used to be a jet pilot for somebody's Uncle but now has a Ph.D. in something involving science and forensics which is like TV but without expensive suits or cleavage. Additional mayhem is provided by my Dad and our 100-year-old "fixer upper" Mission Bungalow.

Her second memoir "Saving Grace - A Story of Adoption" was published in April of 2015". Her Third Book - "Small Town Roads", her first Fiction Novel was published October of 2016 and was an NPR selected "2017 must read" and 2017 Readers Favorite International Book Award GOLD for "Fiction - Religious Theme". Her 4th book, "Calexit, The Anthology", a Novella with other authors, was published in October of 2017 and was on the Amazon Best Seller's list two days later. Her fifth book "True Course - Lessons from Life Aloft" was a #1 best seller at Amazon 24 hours after publishing so I think she has been bribing you all with treats.
