Not so Wordless Wednesday.

Abby Lab here - this was sort of me today.  It wasn't a quiet day.

There was a word, a very loud word, one of the HBO ones.

I was coming in from my walk with my dog walker, and I was ALL excited from rolling in the snow and getting a treat for a good potty, and I was SO excited I just RAN through the kitchen into the dining room as fast as I could go to see Mom in her office.

And rammed my head at warp speed into Mom's bad knee in the middle of the living room as she went to refill her tea.  Not just "no meniscus" bad knee, but "fell on ice on the landing in her bathrobe taking the trash out and took all the skin off of it a week ago" bad knee.  The scab had finally formed completely.
I'm sorry Mom - why is your knee bleeding?   Uh Oh. I'm sorry Mom
"Hey we're union - no scabs around here."

Sorry Mom, trying to make a funny. I did not head butt your scab on purpose.

Mom's knee was bleeding and my head didn't feel so great for a minute but another treat from the walker made me feel ALL better.

Maybe we'll both have some ice cream tonight and the day will get better.

  1. Bummer, sometimes all that love built up inside you, Abby, just bursts out and BANG!!! We hope Mom's knee and your head feel a lot better soon.

  2. Hope that ice cream helped you both feel better

Oucheroonies Abby!!! Hope your poor darling head is not bruised. Oh yes, I also hope mum's knee gets a new scab real quick and then no scab... ;*> hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx (who actually more sympawthetik than she appears, cuz this brought back memories of several crashes with Jade's head. They were not light...)

  4. Mommas need treats to feel better sometimes too.

  5. Ouch! Hope your head, and Mom's knee heal up fast!

  6. First of all, ice cream always helps. And second of all, we dogs were worried about your poor head hitting the knee. We're glad you're okay and we're sure your mom will be okay because you can always grow another scab. Just have more ice cream.

  7. Oh, no! Hope your mom and your head are OK. Ice cream is a known cure-all!

  8. Oh no. Hope the dog walker gave your mom a treat too. Sending oodles of poodles healing thoughts for the bum knee and scab.

  9. Ouch!! We hope your head(and your Mama's knee) feel better soon. Ice cream would probably help...a lot!

    1. My head was fine (it's hard like Mom's) and her knee is heeling again. But ice cream was good - she gets the minimal ingredient really expensive stuff for us when Dad is gone. We love vanilla!

  10. Yikes! Poor Mom. Sounds like she needs those football knee guard thingies with you around - and ice - and, well you get the picture.

  11. yes ice cream can make a lot of things much much better... potp to yout head and to your mommas knee...

  12. Ouch...that hurts just reading it.
Abby as always your spin on things is fun!
    Hugs madi and mom
