Abby Lab here, carefully watching the kitchen while Mom bakes cookies and Dad puts the decorations up. (See the 1940's gas oven? - Mom and it have a relationship much like the US and Russia).
We had six inches of snow.Dad hung the evergreen over his Grandma's rocking chair.
The 1960's freaky elves were on display.
The Dining room is ready for Christmas dinner in just a few weeks.
The kitchen is cozy.
The spruce trees that surround the house have a geat dusting of snow. The 1960's aluminum tree and color wheel are up.
The mistletoe is hung.
The wreath is on the door.
Eggnog pancakes for dinner!
Dad went over the shoveled our elderly Veteran neighbor's sidewalks and entryway.Mom's favorite "Herbie the Elf" ornament is on the tree.
The living room is all warm, cozy, Christmas. There have been a hundred years of Christmas's in this room. Mom and Dad are happy to continue the tradition.
Nothing like Christmas time! At my house, it's always Christmas time, if we're talking about this handsome Dachshund.

Sorry to say we're a bit behind on the decorating. Maybe later this week we'll get out the garland and lights, oh and the ceramic Christmas trees too. I was going to remind you that I would gladly shred those darn elves for you, but ghostwriter says they're the old fashioned types that aren't technologically advanced enough to commit identity theft. She also says she had one of those silver Christmas trees with the color wheel when she was a kid. Good memories!
