Hey Dad, where's Mom?
Then behind the house, there was a huge thing sticking up into the sky and a man upon it was cutting off dead branches of a HUGE tree behind a house that just sold and then ran all that through a wood chipper.
Mom did chill a whole bunch of bottled waters and took them out to the workers mid-day for which they were grateful but the noise was really LOUD. I retreated to my crate that has a blanket over it to deaden noise and Mom sat and typed and muttered HBO words.
Mom made homemade orange chicken for Dad but now says she has a headache and has retired to a bubble bath with a "Mommy Juice Box" which I think is the Pinot Noir kind.
Cheers.
So we would venture to guess it was not a very productive work from home day. All that noise is here too. The workers just finished the second of our two chimneys. The new stucco went up today, finished at 4:00 p.m. and then the skies opened and we had a deluge of rain. Rut roh - Mom tried to tell those workers it was not a good idea to do that today - here's hoping the stucco is still stuck where it is supposed to be.
ReplyDeleteHope your Mom sleeps well tonight.

Today wasn't much better. They started rolling the trucks spreading the oil at 5 a.m. Apparently the Village noise restriction don't apply to the village. They are already on my list as they made my re done driveway 3 feet narrower than every other driveway on the street, not enough room to pull a vehicle in and I've been waiting 5 weeks for the repair. When the street is done I have a big sign I'm putting up in the truck parked on the street explaining why we can't use our driveway.
DeleteYou're mama is a good egg providing chilled water for the workers. Hopefully THEY gave her the headache remedy as a thank you.
ReplyDeleteI hate days like that, when people come to the house, makes lots of noise and don't play with us. What a wasted day. We just go and hide.
ReplyDeleteWow! That sounds pretty scary!
ReplyDeleteI experienced that also same scenario that why we're all awake and can't sleep that time. It happens when our beloved Argo is sick, he admit in 3 days then he never recover, that's the time we ask help to pet cremation houston for giving back the love from him, we give him a nice pet cremation to our beloved and unforgetable Argo.
ReplyDeleteOh those people who make loud noises are
ReplyDeletecoming to our street too. Mitzie will be
pacing the floor more than she does already.
I hope you can get them to fix your driveway!
Hope your dad is keeping cool? It's been
exceptionally hot here going on 2 weeks now and more
heat waves are expected next week.

"Sounds" like it was a perfect day to go to the mall or the park or the pool or anywhere but there.
