A Question for the Members of Blogville.

A question for the goldendoodles Murphy and Stanley or perhaps the Pug folks.

Mom had dinner with friends right after work while M'Liss my dog walker took me for a long walk and some playtime. (I'm still getting introduced to new dogs outside of Blogville slowly as that kennel was a scary place.)

This is Ian. (He carefully waited on the hardwood floor for my Mom to drop some pork tenderloin.)

He is a Rottweiler/Pug Mix and a Senior Rescue (he's 12).
Mom said he was the cutest little thing.

But what do you call a Rottie Pug Mix? Pugweiler?

RUG??

A Jack Russel and Pug is a Jug
A boston terrier and a pug is a Bug
A chiwauwa? and pug is a Chug

So yes he must be a Rug!

BUTT we want to know how this came to be? Somebuddy must have had a LADDER... Just sayin.

Frankie - ladder and alcohol I think. Mom just wanted to take him home the little guy was SO cute and next to his purebred Rottie sisters, who are still pups, his paws looked jut like theirs.

I'm glad our friend Miss Beth rescued him from the shelter. It is SOOO sad when people leave their dogs simply because they are old. Our Mom's would NEVER do that.

Holy Molie! That has got to be one of the strangest combinations....kind of like a Chihuahua/Great Dane mix... ;)

He is very cute and looks like a good old doggie whatever you might call his heritage mix. My venerable colleague Joey dog is 13 now and has developed a heart murmur and no one would even think of sending him to a pound!

About Barkley and His Mom

My Mom started this blog due to requests from friends who wanted a place to go for stories of her furry friend Barkley that weren't in the book and stories of my rescue and new life in my furever home. She donates all of the proceeds from her writing to animal rescue and groups that train search and rescue and service dogs but that's OK, as she still gives me lots of dog treats and toys.

The Book of Barkley is Mom's first memoir. She used to be a jet pilot for somebody's Uncle but now has a Ph.D. in something involving science and forensics which is like TV but without expensive suits or cleavage. Additional mayhem is provided by my Dad and our 100-year-old "fixer upper" Mission Bungalow.

Her second memoir "Saving Grace - A Story of Adoption" was published in April of 2015". Her Third Book - "Small Town Roads", her first Fiction Novel was published October of 2016 and was an NPR selected "2017 must read" and 2017 Readers Favorite International Book Award GOLD for "Fiction - Religious Theme". Her 4th book, "Calexit, The Anthology", a Novella with other authors, was published in October of 2017 and was on the Amazon Best Seller's list two days later. Her fifth book "True Course - Lessons from Life Aloft" was a #1 best seller at Amazon 24 hours after publishing so I think she has been bribing you all with treats.
